Dr. Kevin L. Gietzen, Dr. Marc A. Feeley, Dr. Thomas Spooner, Dr. Melissa L. Somers, and Dr. Eric R. Snyder specialize in the medical and surgical treatment of the ears, nose and throat in patients of all ages. Dr. Gietzen has been serving Northern Michigan since July 2003, Dr. Feeley joined the practice in 2005, Dr. Spooner joined the practice in 2010, and Dr. Somers and Dr. Snyder joined in 2012.

The physicians have privileges at the following hospitals:

Kevin L. Gietzen, D.O.
Dr. Gietzen received his medical training at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, in Lansing Michigan and completed his residency at Botsford General Hospital in Farmington Hills, MI. Dr. Gietzen has a special interest in surgery of the thyroid and parathyroid and also has medical training in facial plastic surgery.

Marc A. Feeley, M.D.
Dr. Feeley received his M.D. at Wayne State University School of Medicine. He joins us from Madison Wisconsin, where he was a member of the Dean Clinic since 1999. He was voted one of the “Best Doctors in Madison” in the 2004 Madison Magazine by his colleagues in Wisconsin.

Thomas R. Spooner, M.D.
Dr. Spooner went to the University of Iowa for undergraduate training and medical school. Following completion of medical school, he took his otolaryngology training at Stanford University. Dr. Spooner practiced otolaryngology in Grand Rapids, Michigan for a number of years and then joined Petoskey Ear, Nose & Throat specialists in December 2010. His main interests are facialplastic surgery, otology, and allergy.

Melissa L. Somers, M.D.
Dr. Somers received her medical degree from Chicago Medical School in North Chicago, Illinois and recently completed a Head and Neck Surgery Residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.

Dr. Somers will be seeing patients in Petoskey, Gaylord, and St. Ignace.

Dr. Somers manages all areas of Otolaryngology with a special interest in laryngeal surgery, endoscopic sinus surgery, and endocrine surgery.

Eric R. Snyder, M.D.
Dr. Snyder received his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana, and completed his Otolaryngology residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. He most recently completed an Otology Fellowship at the Paparella Ear, Head & Neck Institute in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Dr. Snyder will be seeing patients in Petoskey, Gaylord, and St. Ignace. He will provide general otolaryngology services with special expertise in the treatment of chronic ear disease, hearing loss, and dizziness.
